Catholics Vs protestants

During the Crusades, the Christian armies became the persecutors, killing or torturing those who were on their way. After two centuries of unrest, violence broke out in the form of religious wars between Catholics and Protestants. During the night of August 23, 1572, Charles IX, apparently under the influence of his mother, Catherine de Medici ordered the murder of all Huguenots, and during the three days that followed 40 000 to 100 people were massacred.Fifty years later broke the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648). She lost half the populations of Germany and Austria, killing at least 9 700 000 deaths in Europe, or more than 2 700 deaths per day, 365 days a year, during the 25 years that the fight lasted. For a time when there were no weapons of mass destruction, this death count is truly phenomenal.
